Posted on February 28, 2012 by in Blogging, Marketing Strategy, Social Media Strategy

We have discussed why you should start a blog, the basics in launching your blog, how to create blog content and how to grow your readership. The last installment in this series is my 5 keys to blogging success.

    Be Passionate

To be successful you need to be passionate about what you are trying to tell the world. If you are excited about your topic then you will write interesting and helpful posts.

    Be Brave

Depending on your topic you may have something to say that will not be popular. If you feel strongly enough you need to be brave enough to state your opinion. This may mean that you get comments that will disagree with your point of view. Look at these as an opportunity to see a consider a point of view different from your own.

    Be Patient

It is unlikley that your blog will take off overnight. It takes a lot of hard work and dedications. You need to make sure that your posts are being seen on the social media sites and that you are repurposing your content wherever you can. You also need to network and participate in other communities.

    Be Helpful

People come to your blog because they are looking to solve a problem. As wedding vendors they are coming for inspiration, to learn about your services, or to hire you. Make sure that your posts are helping to solve their problem.

    Be Organized

Any successful blogger is highly organized. Set aside time to write, keep a running lists of topics and be consistent in your posting schedule. Your readers will appreciate that they can expect your content on a regular basis.
